Government forces on Thursday exchanged gunfire with the militants trapped inside a residential house in Mir Mohalla of Hajin in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
An official said that the forces were holding fire as two tothree houses are still stuck inside the house where the militants are trapped.
He said that the forces were trying to get the civilians outof the house.
An intermittent exchange of fire was on between the twosides when this report was being field.
