Militants lob grenade at CRPF camp in Tral in south Kashmir

Suspected militants attacked a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in Nowdal area of Tral township in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday night.

According to a source, militants lobbed a grenade at the CRPF camp of 180th battalion in Nowdal which exploded outside the camp. 

   

However, there was no loss of life or injury to anyone.

When contacted, commandant CRPF 180 Bn said that a loud bang was heard near the CRPF camp in Nowdal. “But it was not clear if it was a grenade attack,” he said.

Meanwhile, Jaish-e-Muhammad militant outfit has claimed responsibility for twin grenade blasts in Anantnag and Srinagar.

Four CRPF troopers, policeman and a civilian were injured in the grenade blast at Khanabal today afternoon.

In a statement to GNS news agency, Jaish-e-Muhammad claimed the grenade blast in Hari Singh High Street Srinagar.
