Militants offer gun salute to slain associate in Sopore

Sources said the militants fired several shots in the air and escaped from the spot quickly. Pertinently parts of Zaingeer observed complete shutdown on Wednesday to mourn the killing of Liyaqat.

Militants offered gun salute to slain Liyaqat Ahmad Lone at his native village Harwan Sopore in north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Wednesday evening. 

Sources said that masked militants, two to three in number, appeared in Harwan village of Sopore near the grave of Liyaqat and fired several rounds in the air to pay tributes to slain LeT militant, who was killed along with his associate in a gunfight at Galoora village of Handwara on Tuesday.
