Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Mohammad Umar Farooq has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of granddaughter of prominent Islamic scholar Mian Bashir Ahmed and young daughter of Mian Altaf Ahmed.
The Mirwaiz extended his sympathy and solidarity with Mianfamily of Babanagri Kangan, a statement here said.
The Mirwaiz spoke over phone with Mian Altaf and condoledhis daughter’s demise.
The Mirwaiz prayed for peace to the departed soul and patienceto the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
It may be mentioned that Benazir Altaf, 28, the elderdaughter of senior National Conference leader and former MLA Kangan, Mian AltafAhmed, passed away at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS)Srinagar on Friday evening.
