The residents and family members of a missing school teacher on Saturday held a protest in north Kashmir’s Bandipora to seek his whereabouts.
The protestors blocked Gurez-Bandipora road near Mantrigam.
Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, 29, has been missing since May 13.
“On May 13, Mushtaq left home to attend his duty at Chuntimulla where he is posted as a teacher in Government Higher Secondary school. When he didn’t return by the evening we made phone calls to every relative but couldn’t locate him,” said Manzoor Ahmad, his brother.
Ahmad said that according to the headmaster of the school they had been together till they reached Bandipora main market.
When the family failed to trace him they lodged a missing report at police station Pethkoot.
The protestors appealed to the police to speed up the efforts to trace the teacher.
