Missing school teacher’s family protests in Bandipora

The residents and family members of a missing school teacher on Saturday held a protest in north Kashmir’s Bandipora to seek his whereabouts.

The protestors blocked Gurez-Bandipora road near Mantrigam.

   

Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, 29, has been missing since May 13.

“On May 13, Mushtaq left home to attend his duty atChuntimulla where he is posted as a teacher in Government Higher Secondaryschool. When he didn’t return by the evening we made phone calls to everyrelative but couldn’t locate him,” said Manzoor Ahmad, his brother.

Ahmad said that according to the headmaster of the schoolthey had been together till they reached Bandipora main market.

When the family failed to trace him they lodged a missingreport at police station Pethkoot.

The protestors appealed to the police to speed up theefforts to trace the teacher.
