Six students from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture Sciences and Technology, Kashmir (SKUAST)-K who were reported missing since August 14 have been brought home from a “secret” trekking trip.
The students had left university hostel on August 14 without prior permission.
Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Ganderbal Mohammad Khalil Poswal told Greater Kashmir that the university authorities lodged a report that six students have left the hostel on 14th August without any prior permission.
He said a team headed by SHO Ganderbal Nisar Ahmed was constituted and with the help of some ponywalas all the six boys were traced out from Gangbal area of the district.
The boys were handed over to the university authorities, he said.
Upon questioning, he said, the students revealed that they had gone on a “secret trekking trip” to Gangabal lake in Ganderbal district.
