Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Kashmir unit on Thursday said that the landslide win of Narendra Modi is the victory of democracy and congratulated the people for trusting party leadership and choosing the BJP for another five year term.
“This is the victory of democracy and PM Modi, who isworking with honesty and dedication for people of the country,” senior BJPleader and the defeated party candidate for Srinagar-Budgam constituency KhalidJehangir said. “It is only the BJP which can lead the country on the rightpath.”
Jehangir also congratulated Dr Farooq Abdullah for winningthe Srinagar seat by a massive margin.
“We accept the people’s verdict, it was first ever electionI fought and I can say it was the baby step for my political career,” Jehangirsaid “I am thankful to the BJP leadership including Prime Minister NarendraModi for reposing faith in me and giving me the opportunity to serve people”.
Later the leaders and activists organized a function tocelebrate the BJP win.
“The decision by people in choosing BJP with a massivemandate, are the fruits of BJP’s people friendly policies and welfareactivities across India,” BJPs state spokesperson Altaf Thakur said adding thatthe credit for the victory goes to PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and workers ofthe party. “Modi’s dynamic leadership and the commitment to the welfare ofpeople has given the party the mandate to form the government.”
Speaking on the occasion Media Incharge Kashmir Manzoor Bhatsaid that “people have strong faith in the BJP and that was why the party wonwith a huge margin”.
“It was only possible because of the good governance,development and corruption free atmosphere created by NDA led govt under thedynamic leadership of Narendra Modi,” he said.
