AIP Supremo and MLA Langate, Er Rashid on Saturday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has disappointed Kashmiris, adding that his speech was “nothing but distortion of history and ground situation.”
“Narendra Modi has disappointed not only Kashmiris but people all across the sub-continent and his speech was nothing but distortion of history and ground situation,” Er Rashid said in a statement.
He said it is unfortunate that rather than talking about resolution of Kashmir issue, “Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti was talking about West Pakistani Refugees and Pakistan’s alleged negative response to India’s handshake for friendship.”
“Mehbooba Mufti must realize that Kashmiris cannot be sacrificed and their aspirations cannot be kept hostage to the Indo-Pak relations as the history of Kashmir dispute is as old as that of India and Pakistan’s historic event of winning freedom,” he said, adding that PM had nothing to offer in Kashmir and PDP’s praise for Modi is its compulsion and quest to remain in power. “Rather than condemning and consoling the unabated killings at the hands of security forces, it looked so strange that PM was praising security forces. Thus his tall claims of calling Kashmir India’s crown proved nothing but a rhetoric,” he said
