A woman and daughter who had sustained burns in a LPG gas cylinder blast in their house succumbed to their injuries at SKIMS hospital here on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Parveena Akhtar, 35 andShaista Bano, 14, of Lagama Uri.
Seven members of the family were injured in the cylinderexplosion on May 27. The incident happened when the family was preparing meals.
The injured were rushed to SDH Uri. Akhtar and Bano werelater shifted to SKIMS hospital for specialised treatment.
However, after battling for life for five days the duosuccumbed on Sunday.
A pall of gloom descended on Lagama after the news of theirdeath spread in the area. Thousands of people from Lagama and its adjacentvillages participated in the funeral of the deceased.
