A motorcyclist died while his pillion rider was injured in a road accident here on Monday.
An official said that an unknown car hit a motorcycle driven by Mudasir Ahmad Sheikh, son of Ghulam Nabi Sheikh of Bicherwara Kralgund, resulting his on spot death while as his pillion rider Mehraj-ud-Din Bhat, son of Mohammad Ramzan was injured.
Bhat was later rushed to District Hospital Handwara for treatment and his condition is said to be stable. Police has taken cognizance of the incident and launched manhunt to arrest the accused.
