My son wasn’t a stone-pelter, he was killed in cold-blood: Father of slain Kulgam civilian

The father of a civilian killed in forces’ firing in Khudwani area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district yesterday has alleged that his son was put to death in a target fire.

Khalid Ahmad Dar, according to a police statement, was killed in clashes between protesters and forces yesterday.

   

However, his father, Abdul Salam Dar, said he was on way to Degree College Anantnag to submit his form when the government forces killed him in a target fire near SKUAST Khudwani, reported CNS news agency.

Terming his killing as a “cold-blooded murder”, senior Dar said that his son has never taken part in any stone-pelting protests.

“My son was a brilliant student. He was not a stone-pelter. Not a single case is registered in any police station against him,” he said, according to the agency. 

Dar said that his son pursuing Bachelor of Science.

“There were clashes going on at Khudwani. When he reached near SKUAST, some forces personnel from a vehicle targeted him and killed him in cold blood,” Dar said.
