Provincial President National Conference, Nasir Aslam Wani on Friday chaired a meeting of party functionaries of Amira Kadal block at party headquarters here.
A statement said the meeting was attended by Amira Kadal functionaries, YNC members, and women’s wing functionaries. Speaking on the occasion Wani appreciated the efforts of the workers for upholding the party flag in the most trying times.
Extolling the workers and party’s functionaries, he said, “It is elevating to see all of us again after more than a year. Fortunately our strong rooted party withstood all pressures and pulls as we have been drawing our sustenance from the people of J&K.”
“Our vision for J&K has been inclusive. I take this opportunity to express my earnest gratitude to all of you for standing besides the party in the most trying times. The need of the hour is to continue with our determination,” he said.
The participants on the occasion reiterated their support to the party President, Farooq Abdullah, in his endeavor to restore J&K’s special position. The participants unanimously sought the release of all detainees who were still languishing in jails.
On the occasion the participants expressed dismay over the administrative inertia and development deficit. “Amirak Kadal in particular is suffering because of the lackadaisical approach of the administration towards alleviating problems of the people. Whether it is the condition of roads, availability of water or electricity, on every conceivable matrix, Amira Kadal is suffering,” Nasir said.
Among others the NC’s provincial President Women’s wing Sabiya Qadri, block president Rafiq Ilahi, and YNC district President Khalid Rathore were also present in the meeting.
