Former deputy speaker Nazir Gurezi has appealed to Governor Satya Pal Malik to immediately order promotions of SC/ST community members who have not been promoted despite Supreme Court directions.
In a statement Gurezi said that “hundreds of such posts have been kept vacant and as such it is giving the impression that certain sections of the administration are against the community.”
Nazir Gurezi said that “till now I am telling my people that I am bringing their grievances before the administration. I may not be able to do so in near future as members of the community may resort to agitation and take to streets to demand their rights.”
