National Conference (NC) and Apni Party Wednesday paid tributes to NC stalwart Abdul Gani Veeri on his 6th death anniversary.
A statement of NC issued here said that senior NC leaders offered floral tributes and Fateh prayers at the graveyard of Veeri.
A prayer meeting commemorating the death anniversary of Veeri was also held at Government Housing Colony Khanbal, Anantnag, where party functionaries recalled the Veeri’s contribution to the party and the people.
The meeting was attended by Hassnain Masoodi, Bashir Ahmed Veeri and other senior NC leaders.
Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari and other party leaders also paid tributes to Veeri on his death anniversary.
A statement of Apni Party issued here quoted Bukhari as saying that Veeri had laid great emphasis on the young minds and connected the grassroots with the administration.
Apni Party General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir said that Veeri was a true leader with humility.
He commended the Apni Party leader Tariq Shah Veeri for serving the people in the footprints of his father.
Meanwhile, NC leaders paid tribute to veteran NC leader Bodh Raj Bali on his 18th death anniversary.
NC Provisional President, Jammu, Devender Singh Rana said, “Bali was a leader par excellence having a high degree of political and administrative acumen who left an indelible mark on the political horizon of Jammu and Kashmir.”
