NC demands probe into Kashmiri trader's death in Goa

Goa government should thoroughly probe the incident and ensure that the truth comes out and the family of the deceased is kept informed about the revelation.

National Conference Wednesday expressed shock over the mysterious death of a Kashmiri businessman in Goa on Monday.

Demanding probe into the circumstances leading to the tragic death, NC provincial president, Nasir Aslam Wani extended his condolences to the family of Mehrajudin Chechu son of late Abdul Rehman of Lone Mohalla Nowpora Khanyar.

“Goa government should thoroughly probe the incident and ensure that the truth comes out and the family of the deceased is kept informed about the revelations,” Nasir stated. 

Meanwhile, Nasir has also expressed grief over the death of a young local skiing guide Bashir Ahmed Bakshi in an avalanche in Gulmarg and extended condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.

 “This is a tragic incident. Our hearts go out to the family of young Bashir and we stand with them in this hour of grief,” Nasir said, asking local administration and rescue agencies to ensure that all skiers in the area are accounted for promptly and all possible safety guidelines are strictly adhered to in order to prevent such incidents.
