The People’s United Front (PUF) Tuesday stated that National Conference (NC) Member Parliaments (MPs) should give adjournment motion rather than calling attention on the issue of Article 35-A.
In a statement, the spokesman of PUF said, “Threat to Article 35-A and the sudden deployment of additional troops in Kashmir has created panic. There is no clarity as to why an atmosphere of war is being created.”
He added, “The NC parliamentarians should have given adjournment motion, given the urgency of the matter. Giving space to calling attention motion is at the will of the Speaker and it is listed only after the government replies to it in writing. Given the sensitivity of the issue, the adjournment motion would have been the best possible way.”
Meanwhile, PUF appealed to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give time to the NC parliamentarians at an earliest in view of the prevailing hue and cry in Kashmir.
