Nearly a dozen youth detained during night raids in Sopore village

Around a dozen youth were detained by the government forces during nocturnal raids in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Reports said around a dozen youth were detained  during night raids in Tujjar village of Sopore for their alleged involvement in stone-throwing incidents.  

   

However, family members of arrested youth maintained that the youth were innocent and had nothing to do with stone-pelting.

Meanwhile, a police official confirmed the arrests and said the youth were involved in stone pelting during search operations and were identified through video clips.

Pertinently, massive clashes had erupted in Tujjar village during cordon and search operation (CASO) last Thursday.
