National Investigation Agency on Wednesday filed the charge sheet in a case of militant attack on a police party at Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) here on November 24 last.
The attack was claimed by the Islamic State of Jammu andKashmir (ISJK).
Police has arrested three persons in the case. They havebeen identified as Tahir Ahmad Khan of Chandrigam Tral, Haris Mushtaq Khan ofWathura, Budgam and Asif Suhail Nadaf of Rainawari, Srinagar.
The NIA spokesperson said two pistols 14 live rounds andthree hand grenades were recovered from their possession along with an ISISflag.
The case was taken over by NIA for investigation on December13. Later, another accused Asif Majid Khan of Deviangan, Sangeen Darwaja,Hawal, was arrested on December 25. He was involved in harbouring the otherco-accused persons, spokesperson said.
One illegal 12 bore single barrel gun without number and twoKF-12 cartridges were recovered on his disclosure, spokesperson added.
Investigation , he said, further revealed that the accusedpersons Tahir Ahmad Khan, Haris Mushtaq Khan and Asif Suhail Nadaf were activecadres of ISJK.
Spokesperson said that it was also revealed that three otheraccused persons in the case Ishfaq Ahmad Sofi alias Abdullah, Pervez Ahmad Bhatalias Khubaib alias Haider and Asif Nazir Dar aliasAnwar were killed duringdifferent encounters that took place between the ISJK cadres and securityforces across the Kashmir valley.
The charge-sheet, he said, has been filed in the Special NIAcourt, Jammu against the available accused. Further investigation iscontinuing, the spokesperson added.
