NIA summons KEA chairman Yasin Khan in funding case

National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday summoned the Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA) chairman Muhammad Yaseen Khan in alleged funding case.

“Whereas it appears that you are acquainted with thecircumstances of the case noted below, which is now under investigation by theNIA, New Delhi, you are hereby required to report at National InvestigationAgency, Ministry of Home Affairs, Opposite Lodhi Road, New Delhi on 18-04-2019at 10:30 am for the purpose of your examination relating to the case,” read thenotice issued to Khan.

   

The summon was issued to Khan by the SP NIA Headquarters, New Delhi.

A Delhi court last week sent JKLF chief Yasin Malik to NIA custodytill April 22 after the agency sought his custodial interrogation in connectionwith a case related to alleged funding of separatists and militant groups inJammu and Kashmir.

Malik was produced before special judge Rakesh Syal where theNational Investigation Agency arrested him inside the courtroom and sought15-day custodial interrogation.

He was shifted to Delhi’s Tihar Jail after the NIA secured hisproduction remand in connection with the case.
