No class work at educational institutions in several Kashmir districts tomorrow

Class work will remain suspended at educational institutions in several districts of Kashmir valley tomorrow in view of “Kulgam chalo’ call issued by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL).

Several examinations at Kashmir University (KU) have been rescheduled as well.

   

Officials said the decision has been taken as a “precautionary measure” to avoid law and order problem.

The class work will also remain suspended at Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) Awnatipora.

“But the exams will be held as per schedule,” a spokesman of the varsity said.

Controller examination Kashmir University said they have rescheduled the exams which were slated for Wednesday.

“The BG 1st semester and B.G 4th semester (Backlog) scheduled for Wednesday will be conducted on Monday (October 29),” controller examination said.

All the educational institutions in Kulgam district will remain closed on Wednesday.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag said the class wok in all schools and colleges of the district will remain suspended tomorrow.

Class work will also remain suspended in all degree colleges and higher secondary schools of Pulwama district. “The educational institutions up to high school level will remain functional,” deputy commissioner Pulwama said.

District administration Kupwara has decided to suspend the class work in all degree colleges and higher secondary schools of the district except border areas.

However, all the educational institutions will remain functional in Srinagar and Bandipora districts.
