North Kashmir: India, Pakistan exchange fire along LoC in Tanghdar

An army official said the Pakistan troops violated ceasefire by targeting Indian army''s Anil post, Cheetak Post, and Black Rock post with small arms along the LoC at around 7:15 am.

The armies of India and Pakistan exchanged fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Tangdhar area of north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Tuesday.

An army official said the Pakistan troops violated ceasefire by targeting Indian army's Anil post, Cheetak Post, and Black Rock post with small arms along the LoC at around 7:15 am.

The soldiers manning these posts retaliated effectively, he said.

An intermittent exchange of fire was going on when this report was being filed.

The official said that there was no report of any loss of life.
