One person died of COVID-19 while 85 tested positive across Jammu and Kashmir during the last 24 hours, officials said Friday.
They said that with the fresh death, the death toll due to pandemic in J&K rose to 1956.
Meanwhile, 85 new positive cases of COVID-19 were recorded across J&K, taking the tally to 1,26,286, officials said.
They said that of the fresh cases, 69 were from Kashmir division and 16 from Jammu division.
The officials said Srinagar district recorded the highest of 47 cases followed by 12 in Jammu district. While seven districts did not report any fresh cases, 11 districts had cases in single digits, officials said. They said that the overall number of active cases in J&K has dropped to 803, while 1,23,527 persons have recovered so far.
