Over 1400 J&K youth turn up at Army recruitment rally

More than 1400 youth from all over Jammu and Kashmir turned up for enrolment as soldier general duty, tradesmen and clerk at a recruitment rally organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI) Regimental here, an Army  spokesman said in a statement.

Hesaid that a recruitment rally was organised by the Jammu and Kashmir LightInfantry (JAK LI) Regimental Centre at Rangreth here on 1st and 2nd April.First day of the recruitment rally was reserved for candidates from Kashmir& Leh – Ladakh region whereas the second day was reserved for candidates ofJammu region.

   

“Duringthe rally, 1429 aspiring youth from all over J&K turned up for enrolment assoldier general duty, tradesmen and clerk and participated in it with fullenthusiasm.” Nearly 1107 candidates cleared the physical screening and will nowbe put through a detailed medical examination and a Common EntranceExamination,” he said.

“Therally was a huge success seeing the enthusiasm and willingness amongst thecandidates, who turned up in large numbers. The recruitment will not only givemuch needed employment, but further embolden the spirit of the youth to adoptthe path of righteousness and success,” the spokesman added.
