PAGD leaders encroached on forest, state land; amassed disproportionate assets: BJP

BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP) spokeswoman Darakhshan Andrabi Friday alleged that the Peoples’ Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) leaders apart from benefiting from the Roshni Act also encroached on the forest and State land.

In a statement issued here, she said, “This encroached land was more than that under the Roshni and all these alliance partners are the beneficiaries.”

Andrabi said the “encroachment scam” was one side of the coin while the other side was “amassing of disproportionate assets” by the “alliance partners”.

“This was the autonomy and self-rule concept of theirs which has been ripped apart,” she said in the statement. “They are not wailing for the losses of J&K but weeping for their lost paradise of luxuries.”

The BJP spokeswoman said that the PAGD leaders had sensed that they would soon be facing investigating agencies for every scam and were busy playing the victim card.

Reacting to the statement of National Conference (NC) leadership on Roshni Act, she said, “NC chief says how Roshni Act can be wrong when it was passed by a majority vote in the house but a wrong is a wrong even if entire humanity supports it.”

Andrabi also reacted to the statement of PDP chief that the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) included a roadmap on the India-Pakistan relations and clemency for certain youth saying, “She may have a copy of CMP at home and I request her to read it again and then share it with the public.”
