In a fourth such incident in past couple of days, unknown persons set an under construction panchayat building on fire in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district last night.
Reports said that the panchayat building was set ablaze in Nagbal village of Tral last night. The building, they said, suffered minor damage.
“It was an attempt by the miscreants which was thwarted by a patrolling party of the security forces,” SP Awantipora Zahid Malik told Greater Kashmir.
This was the fourth such incident in south Kashmir following the announcement of polling schedule for panchayat elections in the state.
