Panel set-up for appointment of chairman JKBOSE

The J&K government on Wednesday constituted a search committee for the appointment of Chairman JK Board of School Education (BOSE), as the term of the present incumbent is expiring on April 30.

A General Administration Department (GAD) order said a five-member search committee headed by Financial Commissioner, Finance Department has been constituted to submit a panel of candidates for appointment of the chairman.

“The committee shall be serviced by the School Education Department and shall submit the panel within 15 days,” reads the GAD order.

Incumbent Chairman JKBOSE, Veena Pandita was appointed as officiating chairperson of Board on 10 August 2017. Later, on 5 April 2018, Pandita was appointed as permanent Chairman for two years. Her tenure expired on 4 April, but the J&K government extended it till April 30.
