Shutdown is being observed in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla against the proposed shifting of old hospital building to the new trauma hospital.
Reports said all the shops and business establishments remain closed in the area while the business community staged a protest.
Due to the protest, the Srinagar-Baramulla highway at Pattan was witnessing massive traffic jam.
An official said the protesting shopkeepers were being persuaded to end their protest. However, they continued to protest, he said.
