Peoples Conference (PC) on Thursday expresses profound grief over the demise of the party’s former General Secretary, advocate Peer Hafizullah Makhdoomi. He breathed his last in the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, after prolonged illness.
“We are deeply pained and saddened by the sad demise of Makhdoomi sahib. We offer our heartfelt condolences to the grieving family. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah and give strength and patience to the bereaved family in this difficult hour,” said the PC General Secretary Imran Reza Ansari said.
“Makhdoomi sahib was a long time associate of late Abdul Gani Lone sahib and former general secretary of the party. We are indebted for his tireless efforts in strengthening the party at grassroots and serve the needy during his political career. He continues to inspire the rank and file of the party and we will all carry forward his legacy and struggle by serving our people,” Ansari said.
Several party leaders and office bearers including Abdul Gani Vakil, Bashir Ahmad Dar, Junaid Azim Mattu and others also expressed solidarity and sympathy with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the deceased soul.
Jammu and Kashmir People’s Independent Movement (JKPIM) Chairman Bilal Gani Lone also expressed condolences over the sad demise of Makhdoomi.
He expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. Bilal termed the deceased a noble and pious soul.
Meanwhile, J&K High Court Bar Association also condoled the demise of advocate Makhdoomi.
In a statement, the Association expressed grief on the demise of Makhdoomi and expressed sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family.
“May Almighty Allah grant solace and peace to the departed soul and give patience to the members of the bereaved family to bear the loss,” the statement said.
