In order to strengthen the police public relation, a PCPG (Police community Partnership Group) meeting was convened at Police Station Tangmarg, which was attended by the PCPG members, a police spokesman said on Monday.
“During the meeting issues ranging from law and order, drug menace, traffic management, transparent and friendly policing were raised by the participants.
Apart from these issues, concerns pertaining to civil administration were also stressed upon by the participants such as un-scheduled curtailment of electricity, draining out of drinking water due to leakage in the supply line, damage caused to a school building at Baderkoot in winters etc.
Participants were assured that these concerns stressed upon by them would be alleviated at the earliest, and the concerns pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned authorities through proper channel,” the spokesman added.
Meanwhile, another PCPG meeting was held atPolice post Wakha in Kargil. The meeting was chaired by ICPP Wakha, he said,adding that speaking on the occasion I/C PP said the aim of meeting is tounderstand the concerns of residents about local policing issues and to havegood working relationship with public.
