Power Development Department (PDD) employees on Monday held protest here over the death of their colleague due to alleged negligence of the department.
Mohammad Ramzan Lone (45) from Nowpora Jageer area was electrocuted after he received an electric shock while repairing service line in Sopore last week.
The employees suspended their work for the day and demanded department should help the family of Lone as he served in the department for over 20 years.
Meanwhile, higher officials of PDD could not be reached for their comments despite repeated attempts.
