Asked to comment on media reports suggesting PDP and BJP will form a coalition government in J&K again, BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav said he “did not know anything about all this”.

“I can’t say anything. I do not think so,” Madhav told Greater Kashmir.

“I do not know anything about all this,” he added hurriedly.

“Thank you nothing more,” he said.

Madhav is one of the most well-known faces of saffron party and BJP’s point man for Jammu and Kashmir.

It was Madhav who had announced that BJP has decided to pull out of the alliance with PDP. He and PDP’s Haseeb Drabu had drafted the Agenda of Alliance (AoA) between the two parties.

“It has become untenable for the party to continue alliance under present circumstances in Kashmir,” Madhav had said.

Chief spokesman BJP state unit Sunil Sethi said, “Our national president Amit Shah has denied reports of government formation. Who are we to comment on the issue?”

Recently, BJP President Amit Shah has defended party’s decision to end the unworkable alliance. “Absolutely wrong,” Amit Shah has who asked him if it was true that the BJP was trying to engineer defections in the PDP to form a government with a breakaway group.

“We have no intention of forming any such government in J&K.”
