Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Tuesday held a meeting to review the party functioning and take stock of the preparations for its foundation day ceremony.
“The meeting, which was attended by senior party leaders,was chaired by Vice-President of the party, Abdul Rahman Veeri, here at theparty head office,” the spokesman said.
Veeri, as per the spokesman, sought details from the partyfunctionaries about the ground situation and measures being taken in theassembly segments of central Kashmir, which include Ganderbal, Srinagar andBudgam.
The Vice-President also took stock of the preparations beingmade in view of the party’s 20th foundation day, which is being celebrated onJuly 28, he said, adding that Veeri stressed on active participation of thesupporters and functionaries to make the foundation day ceremony a successful event.
Party General Secretary, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, whilespeaking in the meeting, said, “The party, in unison, again pledges to followthe agenda for which its foundation was laid in 1999 by Mufti Muhammad Sayeed.The entire PDP leadership will once again tell it to the world that it willfollow the path and the footsteps of its beloved leader and take the state tonew scales of peace, prosperity and development.”
Other senior leaders who were present on the occasionincluded Srinagar district President and MLC Muhammad Khursheed Alam, seniorleaders Noor Mohammad Sheikh, Aasiya Naqash, Anjum Fazli, Muntazir Mohuddin,Nazir Ahmad Khan, Bashir Ahmad Mir, Nazir Ahmad Yatoo, Muhammad Yaseen, Dr AliMuhammad, Haji Parvez, Abdul Hameed Kohseen, Arif Laigaroo, Abul Hassan,Muhammad Shafi Kundangar, Abdul Qayoom Bhat, Aijaz Qureshi, Abdul Hamid,Muhammad Shafi Mir, Gulam Nabi Bhat, Ali Muhammad Bhat, Zahoor Ahmed, ShahnawazAhmad and Manzoor Ahmad Matoo.
