PDP leaders for coordinated efforts to rejuvenate party

A high level meeting of the central Kashmir’s leadership of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was held at the party head office here on Thursday, a party spokesman said in a statement.

 He said the meetingwas presided over by vice President Abdul Rahman Veeri.

   

The meeting, according to the spokesman, emphasised on theneed to rejuvenate the party and strengthen it further so that it could onceagain emerge victorious.

The meeting also resolved that the party leadership,functionaries, activists and supporters will work in close coordination andwill make sustainable efforts in party’s overall growth and impressiveperformance in the coming assembly elections. The participants of the meeting expressed full confidence in theleadership of the PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, resolving in unison to supporther each and every endeavour aimed at getting the people out of the cycle ofuncertainty and lead the state towards a prosperous future.

The meeting also expressed concern as major central governmentfunded developmental projects under CRF and PMGSY are pending due to nonavailability of funds for land acquisition and shifting of utilities.  Veeri urged the government to make the thefunds available on priority for the said purpose.

Besides Veeri who presided over the meeting, Ghulam NahiLone Hanjura, Muhammad Ashraf Mir, Muhammad Khurshid Alam, Asiya Naqash, AnjumFazili, Abdul Hameed Kosheen, Nazir Ahmad Khan, Muntazir Mohi-ud-din, BashirAhmad Mir, Aga Syed Mohsin and several others spoke on the occasion.
