PDP removes Yasir Reshi as Bandipora district president

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday removed Yasir Reshi as District President for the party in north Kashmir’s Bandipora.

Reshi, who is a member of legislative council, had criticized the party leadership following the collapse of the PDP-BJP government.

In a statement today, the PDP said that the District President Baramulla, Irshad Rasool Kar will look after the party affairs of District Bandipora as well for time being.

Reshi is one of the party legislators who had accused Mehbooba Mufti of nepotism and called for an end to “family rule” in the state.
