Pensioners’ association seeks clearance of pending pension cases

J&K Pensioners Welfare Association today urged the authorities in the Accountant General office to clear the pending pension cases.

In a statement here today the association said, “On theinstructions of Chief Justice, Gita Mittal, the Legal Service Authority hastaken up the matter of disposal of the pending pension cases with the PrincipalAccountant General who has responded positively.”

   

According to the information available with the association1,24,000 cases of pensioners under 7th pay commission were received in theoffice of Accountant General out of which 42,882 cases have been settled up toend of June 2019.

“This is in addition to 12,586 normal cases of pensionersand family pensioners.”

The association is hopeful that the remaining pending casesare swiftly cleared by the Accountant General, it said.
