Pensioners call on Governor

A delegation of All Jammu and Kashmir Pensioners’ Welfare Federation led by Sampat Prakash called on the Governor Satya Pal Malik at Raj Bhawan here on Friday, a spokesman of the federation said in a statement.

The pensioners, according the spokesman, sought implantationof Mediclaim scheme for state employees, pensioners and senior citizens onequal premium. 

   

Besides Sampat Praksh, the delegation comprised of MuhammadAshraf Trehgami, Ghulam Hassan Talib and Nisar Ali.

“The Governor assured the delegation that orders forimplementation of Mediclaim scheme would be issued as soon as possible,” thespokesman added.

“The delegation also put forth other demands before theGovernor including 20% increase in pension for pensioners at age of 75 insteadof 80, preservation of Dal Lake and green land, and degree college for girls inTrehgam, Kupwara,” he said.
