Member of Legislative Council and district president of JKNC Qaisar Lone on Tuesday led a protest march outside Kupwara Deputy Commissioner’s office against absence of basic amenities’ throughout the district particularly Lolab constituency.
He said that “the people are facing lot of difficultiesin their daily lives as they are struggling for even basic amenities.”
He alleged that “roads are in a shambles, hospitals arein bad condition and are understaffed”
He also said that the PHE department was absent on theground while people were starving “for even a drop of water”. He also addedthat “the scheduled electricity supply had become a distant dream.”
He later met the district development CommissionerAnshulGarg and submitted a charter of public demands.
Earlier while addressing JKNC workers meeting of LolabConstituency at Town Hall Kupwara, Lone thanked them for their ‘hard work’ during recent Parliamentary elections.
