There is no proper heating arrangement. Few gas heaters are insufficient to keep the wards warm, attendants of patients said.
The residents of Chuntimulla here have alleged lack of basic facilities at the local Primary Health Centre (PHC), saying the insufficient services were affecting patient care.
“The 20-bedded PHC is without electricity and drinking water facilities, forcing the patients to go either to private hospitals or to SMHS or SKIMS in Srinagar. The ambulance has been dysfunctional for last few weeks for being outdated,” locals said.
“There is no proper heating arrangement. Few gas heaters are insufficient to keep the wards warm,” attendants of patients said.
“A solar inverter, installed here last year, is insufficient to endure the load, as a result patients have to reel under darkness during night hours,” they added.
Director Heath Kashmir, DrSaleem-u-Rehman said that he will look into the matter. “I will ask the cornered officers about present situation in the PHC,” Director Health added.
