Daily rated workers engaged in public health engineering department Tuesday locked the offices across Kashmir to press for their demands.
The workers held protest demonstrations at various PHEoffices under the banner of Kashmir PHE joint employees association. Theirdemands include release of withheld wages and reconsideration or amendment inSRO-520.
“Various files pertaining to our regularization process arepending in different offices for want of counter signatures of officers and sameneeds to be expedited,” said Sajad Ahmad Parray, president Kashmir PHE jointemployees association.
Parray said that similar protests and lockdown strike wasobserved in Jammu. “We appeal Governor SP Malik to personally look into thematter and direct concerned authorities to redress our grievances without anyfurther delay,” he added.
