PM Modi condemns killing of BJP leader in south Kashmir

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday condemned the killing of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

The prime minister said that there is no place for violencein the country.

   

“Strongly condemn the killing of @BJP4JnK leader Shri GhulamMohammed Mir. His contribution towards strengthening the party in J&K willalways be remembered. There is no place for such violence in our country.Condolences to his family and well-wishers. (sic),” Modi said in a tweet.

On late Saturday evening, unidentified gunmen shot deadBJP’s district vice-president Gul Mohammed Mir at his house in at Nowpora,Verinag in Anantnag.
