Police on Sunday said that it has detained a drug peddler in Sopore, who was evading arrest for a long time.
In a statement, Police identified the person as MuzafarAhmad Shah son of Mohammad Sultan Shah resident of Adipora, Sopore. “He wasinvolved in drug peddling case FIR NO. 112/2019 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act at PoliceStation Sopore in which huge consignment of drugs (Spasmoproxyvon capsules) wasseized from his possession,” Police statement read.
“Community members are requested to come forward with anyinformation regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons foundindulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.”
