Police in collaboration with Directorate Of Health Services Kashmir organised a workshop on drugs and tobacco menace at DPO Budgam on Saturday.
According to a police spokesperson, various police officersand officials participated in the workshop. A team of doctors including DrRehana- Epidemiologist Kashmir, Dr Afaq Jalali Physician and Dr Mohammad Naser,State Coordinator Tobacco Control had a threadbare discussion on the issue. Themeasures to control the menace were also discussed in the workshop.
A special drive to eradicate the menace from district Budgamis already in place and shall be intensified in the coming days, thespokesperson said. Strict action under law shall be taken against violators.Vigil on the sale of Tobacco products around educational institutes shall alsobe intensified and strict action against violators under law shall be taken.
