Police personnel removed snow from the premises of a government school in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday to facilitate the movement of students and teachers.
Presence of snow in the premises of middle school ZirporaKulan in Gund tehsil due to heavy snow fall in the area in winter was hamperingthe movement of students and teachers of the school.
The police put its men and machinery in service andconducted a day long snow clearance drive.
Sheikh Tahir Ahmad, SDPO Kangan, told the Greater Kashmirthat the drive was launched under “civic action programme” of police underthe direction of SSP Ganderbal Khalil Muhammad Poswal.
Inhabitants of the area have hailed the efforts of Ganderbalpolice.
