Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday organised an interaction-cum-counseling session for youth at Police Station Safa Kadal, a police spokesman said.
He said that Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar Dr M Haseeb Mughal along with SP City North, SDPO MRGunj and SHO Safa Kadal were present on the occasion.
The programme was attended by number of people particularly youth including the ones previously/currently involved in various law and order cases, from north zone of the city.
The SSP Srinagar while speaking on the occasion stressed on channelizing the energy of youth in positive direction. He deliberated on various issues ranging from “Drug menace to Career exploration” which was appreciated by all the participants. He stressed on participants for quality education of their wards.
The SSP Srinagar personally counseled the youth involved in law and order cases in front of their parents/relatives.
During the programme, the participants raised various issues pertaining to Police as well as civil administration including drug menace, traffic jam and several other social issues.
At the end of the programme several youth detained by police in law and order cases were handed over to their parents and relatives after proper counseling.
Youth along with their parents including community members appreciated the gesture of SSP Srinagar. They expressed hope that such interactions are held in future as well.
