Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday organised an interaction-cum-counseling session for youth at Police Station Safa Kadal, a police spokesman said.
He said that SeniorSuperintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar Dr M Haseeb Mughal along with SP City North, SDPO MRGunj and SHOSafa Kadal were present on the occasion.
The programme was attended by number of people particularlyyouth including the ones previously/currently involved in various law and ordercases, from north zone of the city.
The SSP Srinagar while speaking on the occasion stressed onchannelizing the energy of youth in positive direction. He deliberated onvarious issues ranging from “Drug menace to Career exploration” whichwas appreciated by all the participants. He stressed on participants forquality education of their wards.
The SSP Srinagar personally counseled the youth involved inlaw and order cases in front of their parents/relatives.
During the programme, the participants raised various issuespertaining to Police as well as civil administration including drug menace,traffic jam and several other social issues.
At the end of the programme several youth detained by policein law and order cases were handed over to their parents and relatives afterproper counseling.
Youth along with their parents including community membersappreciated the gesture of SSP Srinagar. They expressed hope that suchinteractions are held in future as well.
