Police solves burglary case in Baramulla

Police on Wednesday said it solved two burglary cases and recovered stolen items and cash from the accused.

While giving details, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Baramulla, Gulzar Ahmad, said a written complaint was received from owner of a computer institute at Delina Baramulla that unknown persons have decamped with four laptops, two computers, two UPS systems, four chargers and a WiFi device from her institute on July 26.

   

Following the complaint, a case (FIR No 64 of 2020) was registered at police station Baramulla, the official said.

The official said following the complaints, a police team was constituted to crack both the case.

“While adopting scientific approach, we managed to solve the case within a short period of time. The stolen items as well cash was recovered from the burglars,” said the official.

He identified the arrested persons as Umar Mushtaq Lone and Ishfaq Ahmad Beig.

Meanwhile, in another case police, during a naka checking at Delina spotted a drug peddler, Amit Pal Singh and recovered 15 bottles of liquor from his possession.

The official said a case (FIR no 132 of 2020) was registered in police station Baramulla in connection with the case.
