A policeman on election duty in Sopore was injured when his gun went off accidentally on Thursday.
Police said that the rifle of the policeman, Muhammad Ashraf, went off accidentally and the bullet hit him on the foot at Tujjer Sharief area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
He was shifted to a hospital for treatment and his condition is said to be stable, Police said.
