Political appointees clinging to chairs despite demise of coalition govt: Omar Abdullah

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference Vice President on Friday said that a number of political appointees were still to come to terms with the “demise of the coalition government”.

“A number of political appointees to various organisations & bodies are still to come to terms with the demise of the coalition govt. They are clinging on to their chairs but at who’s pleasure are they serving now that their CM has resigned (sic)?,” Omar said on Twitter.

   

PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday tendered her resignation as the chief minister after BJP pulled out support from the coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir. Governor’s rule was imposed in the state on Wednesday.
