Several senior officials from various departments had no seats at a Public Darbar held by the district administration Ganderbal at tehsil Gund on Wednesday.
The Darbar was chaired by DDC Ganderbal Hashmat Ali Khan.ADDC Ganderbal, SSP Ganderbal and all district and sectoral officers werepresent.
Sources said the seating arrangement and tent accommodationat the Darbar was made by the Revenue Department Gund.
Eyewitness said that the officials had to face embarrassmentremaining outside the tent for want of seating arrangement.
“There were no proper arrangements made particularlythe seating to accommodate the officials from several departments and many hadto stand in the sun for hours even during Ramadan fasting,” an officialwishing anonymity, said.
Meanwhile a large number of locals from various areas whohad come to participate in the Darbar also had to face inconvenience due tonon-availability of proper seating arrangements.
