Postpone our exams: Law deptt students appeal CU-K VC

Students of Law department of Central University- Kashmir have urged Vice-Chancellor of the varsity to postpone their 6th and 8th semester examination.

A delegation of students told Greater Kashmir that theirexams have been advanced in “violation” of the rules and regulations.

   

“As per norms, the varsity first comes up with a tentativedate-sheet before framing the final date-sheet. But no such procedure wasfollowed this time,” they alleged.

“It takes six months to complete one semester but they areholding examination only after four months of our enrolment in 6th and 8thsemester. This is sheer injustice with us.”

When contacted, Public Relation Officer, Central University,Arshad Me’raj said that examination cannot be postponed beyond its statutoryperiod.

“In response to the notification issued by the examination wingof Central University dated 18th July 2019 for the conduct of examination byall departments by 2nd week of July, 2019, the Department of Law has framed thedata-sheet from 08-07-19 for 6th and 8th semesters,” he said.
