Police on Friday claimed to have arrested a prayer leader for allegedly peddling drugs in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A police spokesperson said Pattan police arrested a drug peddler identified as Mushtaq Ahmed Mia @ DC, a resident of Pattan with consignment of fukki.
“During investigation, it was revealed that the accused is main culprit for supplying fukki along the highway to the local youth,” the spokesperson said.
He said a case vide FIR number 168/2018 under section 8/22 NDPS was registered against him and investigation has been taken up.
